Today is Tuesday.
NOT Wednesday.
Just though you might want to know, because no one told me until AFTER I dropped my child off at preschool. And went home. And was in the middle of blogging about my holiday weight-control strategy over on Desperately Seeking Skinny Pants.
Yeah. I felt cool. And smart, because there's nothing like NOT KNOWING WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS to make a person (especially a mom of young children) feel brilliant. This isn't my first calendar casualty either, sad as that is.
Wouldn't it have been even smarter if I hadn't found out until I showed up at the dentist office with the other two for their WEDNESDAY appointments? After getting them out of school?
Yeah, glad that didn't happen...
So now I'm gonna go and think about life, and sing the "Days of the Week" song my preschooler loves...and HOPE IT SINKS IN TO MY HEAD!!!
So have a nice TUESDAY everyone, Wednesday's TOMORROW.

You need sticky notes. One for every day of the week that you can post anywhere they'll be in your face! LOL, SO GLAD it wasn't me, b/c this something I would TOTALLY do!
The receptionist at our pediatrician's office hates me because I'm always calling and saying, "I know we had a check up scheduled for like 4 days ago....can I reschedule?" I used to try and make up really great excuses, but you can only use the same lies so many times...
I usually just blame daylight savings. You know, spring forward, fall back an hour? Sometimes I fall back a whole day. I still feel like it's Monday!
This is the longest week ever.
Last week I wrote the wrong date on my husband's employees pay checks. On gal took it to the bank to cash it.
Very embarrassing, that. I feel your pain.
Funny, today felt like a Wednesday to me too. I kept planning for my busy Thursday which after all is not tomorrow.
Maybe you're subliminally wishing your way through the week... wishing for the weekend to come around?
A pox on Tuesdays... they're so 'beginning of the week'.
Hilarious! Seriously-who lets a mom drive away when their child isn't meant to be left? I would blame the pre-school...
I am opposed to your label of "being pathetic." That is not pathetic. That is normal.
KNOWING the days of the week, now that's super-human.
It felt like Wednesday to me today too! Very weird.
At least you're not re-living Monday. Right?
Hey Jen, I've changed my website.. you can visit me anytime! http://www.foughtblog.blogspot.com/
How funny, I actually spoke to your guy at preschool today and thought nothing of him being there...Did the teacher notice or call? He seemed to be having a great time with the orange playdough and gave me a high-five.
if all you forgot is what day of the week it is then you are doing fine. No need for therapy or brain surgery just yet. Me on the hand today...I had a brain cramp and couldn't remember my new password to my PC for hours. Vacation time.
See and I never think it's Wednesday. Even on Wednesdays.
OH my god, now I'm confused because I'm like reading this post ON Wednesday, and now I'm starting to question, "Is it really Wednesday and do my kids really have a half day today for parent teacher conferences or should I be at my office since it might be Tuesday???" Shit. Gotta go check a calendar.
Oh that is funny, I do things like that all the time. Glad to know I am not the only one. Well now today he is at preschool for real and on purpose, right?
Tomorrow is Thursday!!!
Glad you found my blog Jen....I was just thinking about you the other day, so it was fun to see your comment. Keep in touch!
Actually today is Thursday!
Why didn't you tell me it was Tuesday 2 days ago?
The big question is was your kid supposed to be in pre-school that day?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! This is so awesome! Okay, maybe not for you or your children, but an amusing story for ME, and isn't that whats important?
